Album Release — Christmas Divertimento No. 1

Christmas Divertimento No. 1 graces Dashing Vol. 5, the latest album in Navona’s series of new holiday music.  It’s five movements (carols) include:  Wenceslaus Carol (Good King Wenceslaus Looked Out); Gesù Bambino; Shepherd’s Echo (As by My Sheep I Watched at Night); Greensleeves Reverie (What Child Is This?); and Glad Day Melody (Royal Day that Chases Gloom).  The Janáček Chamber Orchestra, Jiří Petrdlík conducting, breathes life into this music, whether excited and dancing or pensive and gentle.  Info on the whole fine album at this link.
