Christmas Carol Suite Premiere

On Jordan’s Banks; Maria Walks in Woods of Thorn; Ding Dong, Merrily on High; and Angels from the Realms of Glory comprise a new suite for choir, brass & organ.  Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA premieres it with musicians under the direction of R. Benjamin Hutchens the last Sunday morning before Christmas.  Ben Hutchens originally suggested the need for good works in this genre, to be modern successors to Robert Shaw’s venerable “Many Moods of Christmas.”  So it’s fitting that he conducts the premiere.  Published by Art of Sound Music and available via this link, it’s entitled No. 1 because we hope more will follow!
