Pensive Prelude & Fickle Fugue times 2

Composed a couple years ago as a gift, this piece re-appeared on my radar when we recorded it with the Belfiato Quintet a few days ago. This transcription for winds will grace a new album of chamber music. Meanwhile, San Francisco organist Jonathan Dimmock, for whom the piece was written, programmed it for his November 14 recital near me in Arlington, VA. Nice surprise! The two versions sound very different but both are fun to hear.
